“Bosworth Stud” is our BRC registered Stud name.
Bosworth Stud, a registered rabbit hobby breeder with the British Rabbit Council, is located in the beautiful town of Market Bosworth, Warwickshire. I specialise in the Miniature Lop, Miniature Lion Lop and the English Angora.
The main aim of the website is to promote bunny welfare by documenting what we do as a family for the buns and writing a realistic blog of bunny breeding (non-profit as a hobby), sharing the highs, as well as the lows. Follow my instagram account @bosworth_bunnies to share the day-to-day activities of the Bosworth Bunny family.

I very occasionally have kits available for loving pet homes but please be aware this really is rare as I breed to keep as a hobby to show, rather than mass produce for profit, Bosworth Bunnies is not a business. I am able to ring young bunnies for showing purposes if required.

About Me & Bosworth Stud
Hi, Nice to meet you! Thanks for visiting. My name is Carly and I run Bosworth Stud.
I have had the pleasure of being owned by bunnies since I was a child many moons ago. Bunnies are a huge part of my life and I'd be lost without them. I am a mature student studying a Biomedical Science degree at Coventry University. My course is heavily focused on genetics and this is what I truly love to study. My love for genetics actually came from my bunnies. I first started to breed years ago by accident due to a breeder making a gender mistake. I was fascinated by the colours of my kits and intrigued as to how my bunnies were producing colours so dissimilar to themselves. So, I researched and have never stopped! With that, it has led me to my current career path; My knowledge of pedigree's and genetics from bunny breeding has without doubt helped me in my genetics modules (understanding pedigree's, inheritance, dominance etc). I have my bunny breeding hobby to thank for reigniting my interest in biology and my personal discovery of molecular genetics. |
I have spent no end of time and money sourcing my rabbits from reputable breeders who play active roles in the exhibition community within the UK. I have bunnies whose siblings/parents are current competition winners in BRC shows. I do not show myself, I wanted to initially, but soon realised it did not always suit my own ethics (you end up keeping far too many bunnies naturally) and after the pandemic, not having facebook kept me out of the showing "loops". However, showing rabbits can be a fantastic way to become part of a supportive community, get you out of the house and meeting like minded people, so I would definitely encourage those who are interested to give it a go.

As well as a bunny momma, I am mum to three hoomin children, one dog & a rescue cat.
My Favourite Breeds
My favourite bunny breeds are as follows;
Mini lops

Relaxed and chilled in nature while heart breakingly gorgeous. Everyone loves a mini lop!

I have fallen in love with their ridiculously fuzzy heads, crazy hair (like owner, like pet) and daft laid back personalities. These bunnies are so chilled and although the same size as mini lops they seem bigger because of their fluffy coats and manes.

Just a little collection of baby pics for you to enjoy...
Remember to pick your baby bunnies based on what their parents look like and the personality of the breed. We all have different tastes but ALL bunnies look cute while they’re young... they just don’t stay small for long so it’s important you are happy with the adult they will turn into. All my adults are listed on the website (see drop down) and you can judge very well what babies will look like from that.
