Usher
Sooty Fawn Mini Lop Buck D.O.B: 03/10/18 Weight: 1.6 kgs (Perfect!) Sire: Sooty Fawn (Derulo) Dam: Sooty Fawn (Dusty) Breeder: Jason Derulo _____ (via Springwood Stud) Genotype: aaBBC?DDee (ushers genetics under question at the moment as he may have produced sable and blue but not sure yet until kits are older) |
Usher is my foundation show buck and I am hoping to enter his offspring into some shows in 2020 (it is proving very hard because all shows are being conducted on facebook since the pandemic which completely excludes those of us who do not have facebook accounts). Usher is the most loving little boy! He is beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.
With his previous owner (Springwood) he won Best in Colour & various other CC’s. I am very excited as Usher is the son of Derulo (currently owned by Springwood Stud) and he is always winning CC’s, including Best in Breed .
Ushers colour is absolutely spot on. He is the perfect weight for a healthy mini lop buck with a beautiful perfectly placed crown too (No gaps between ear and eyes, ears hang straight downwards freely with no interference or overcompensation i.e. where ears point forwards due to crown being placed at the back of skull rather than the top).
Usher is my foundation buck. He is an invaluable asset to my breeding programme and I hope we can win some competitions with this beautiful boy and his subsequent babies.
Update* Usher can no longer compete in shows because he had a fight with Elmo (between run bars!) and has a damaged ear and nose. Elmo also has a damaged nose. So sad. They are absolutely fine and healed well but with scars remaining.

Millie
Agouti Mini Lop Doe DOB: June 2019 Weight: (cant weigh yet shes pregnant) Sire: Dam: Genotype: A-B-C-D-E |
Millie, Milo and Martha all came together. Millie is very chilled and loves a fuss! She is also absolutely beautiful... Probably the most beautiful mini lop doe I have (in my opinion). I am pairing her up with Usher to produce the most beautiful orange and sooty fawn kits, ever! I am highly unlikely to sell any kits at all from these pair. However, matings have so far been unsuccessful unfortunately. We will keep trying while Millie is still willing.

Martha
Agouti Mini Lop Doe DOB: May 2019 Sire: Dam: Genotype: A-B-C-D-E- |
Martha has come here very recently with Milo and Millie. Martha is a lovely girl, gentle and beautiful.
I am hoping to mate her up with Usher for some oranges and sooty fawns (hopefully). As yet, matings have only resulted in one litter which were scattered by Martha (very common in first litters, especially as I have only had Martha since an adult). I will keep trying with Martha as long as she is willing.

Black Otter Mini Lop Doe D.O.B.: 2nd September 2019 Weight: too young Breeder: Bosworth Stud Sire: Blue Otter Dam: Siamese Sable (dark) Genotype: ataB-C-DdE- (either “c” or “cchl”) |
BB's Davina, bred by me.
This little girl is very very special to me and my family. We lost her little sibling for an unknown reason at four weeks. In panic, I pulled Davina from the nest and brought her into the house just in case we had the horrible virus (we didn’t but I don’t regret taking the precaution). I hand reared Davina on specialised bunny milk and spent a fortune on extra vitamins and tummy cultures to ensure she grew healthy. Well, she certainly did! Davina is a petite rabbit as are her parents, not because of her time with momma cut short. She craves love and attention, loves nothing more than snuggling her face into your hand and relaxing. I love her to bits and she's proven for me that it is important that parents have excellent temperaments. She comes out of her cage for a run around, chews our internet cables, takes herself upstairs, chases the cat around, jumps on the parrot, the list goes on! We love Davina.

Felicity
Fawn Harlequin (Vienna Marked)
DOB: 15th December 2019
Weight:
Dam: Orange
Sire: Chocolate Self
Genotype: AaBbCCchd ddeje
Felicity is new here. She is a lovely little girl, her shape is promising. Pairing her up with Usher will produce me some babies to ring. Her ears are too short and thin, crown too tight but Usher will sort this out in the next generation they produce no problems, (an easy fix with the right buck unlike a slipped crown!) so I am very excited awaiting her new litter.
**New News; Felicity has turned out to be a harlequin (rather than a harli carrier as I first thought) so none of her kits will be rung as they are all badly marked harli's. I would not ever chose to have harli rabbits, their markings are too difficult to get right but... I think I'm going to have a go! haha. I will take a buck (the best type firstly, then the best markings) and I will breed him to my agouti does. This is the best way to improve harli markings (the only way!). This will be a strictly separate line because of the vienna gene involved. It's one of those "Let's see what we get" type situations. That way if the harli markings are still terrible, I can turn it around to blue eyed white rabbits to breed for show!
